Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello Are 'Pretty Happy' Right Now, Continue Proving Critics Wrong
Shawn Mendes, 21, and Camila Cabello, 22, proved that a close friendship can flourish into a romantic love affair. However, even after they made their relationship official, the “Señorita” singers are still being hounded with various rumors, with some accusing them of faking their romance solely for publicity. Despite this, the pair has been proving their critics wrong by regularly showing off their love for one another on social media.
Just recently, Cabello sat down for an interview with UK’s Capital Breakfast where she revealed some details about her love for the “Treat You Better” singer. When asked about dating Mendes, the former Fifth Harmony member said they are “pretty happy” right now. The songstress went on to express that she loves him "a lot."
The “Havana” hitmaker, also, shared how their latest collab brought them back together. Camilla Cabello divulged to the hosts that there came a time when they did not hang out much due to their hectic schedules. “…this song was really fun because we got to just hang out again like we did on the song we did before, 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,'" she stated. "Which was when we got really close....We were like ‘oh yay, we get to be pals and just hang out!’" Cabello added.
In the October issue of ELLE Magazine, the “Never Be The Same” singer acknowledged the fact that her relationship with Shawn Mendes might not please everyone. Regardless, Cabello said they will continue living their own lives and enjoy each other’s company. The Cuban-American singer-songwriter added that she has been tight-lipped about their romance because she wants to protect what they have now, as much as possible.
Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes shut down haters by posting a clip of them smooching. The couple was, previously, criticized for the way they kiss “like fish.” Cabello and Mendes, then, shared a video of them literally kissing like fish on the latter’s Instagram account.
Cabello has also been, reportedly, unfollowing and blocking netizens who tweet about her and Mendes’ relationship as a publicity stunt. Avid fans of the “Mi Persona Favorita” hitmaker said she had been cleansing negative vibes out of her social media accounts as she is not willing to just let people trash her romance with her boyfriend.
