‘Shenmue III’ Website Gets Revamped For 2016
Announced in last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) “Shenmue 3” is currently one of the most hyped games that doesn’t have a definitive release date. While fans aren’t any closer in finding out the game’s release schedule, the developers in Ys Net has revamped the game’s website considerably.
The official website of “Shenmue 3” is now much easier to navigate and looks great in terms of visual appeal. The most notable part about the site is the quote from the game’s creator Yu Suzuki, stating that “Shenmue 3 will be for the fans, by the fans.” The quote is also the biggest part of the website.
Suzuki is not wrong though, as fans through Kickstarter funded the game. It didn’t take long for the game to get fully funded and is proof that there’s still some life in the series that originally started its life on the Sega Dreamcast.
Gematsu also covered a New Year’s message from the development team. Apparently, 2016 will be the time when the developers put their noses to the grindstones and start making “Shenmue 3” into the game fans want it to be. It seems like the team knows the amount of expectations fans have for the game and will do the best that they can to make it a quality title.
For those unaware of the series, “Shenmue” was a game that may have started quick-time events in gaming. Aside from that, the series also features an open-world that can be explored and a fighting system similar to the “Virtua Fighter” games.
As most fans of the game know, “Shenmue 2” ended in a cliffhanger, which is why fans have been so demanding for a third game. Fans will finally be able to continue the adventures of Ryo Hazuki.
“Shenmue 3” is currently in development for the PS4 and PC, with no updates on the game coming to Xbox One. This is somewhat ironic, since Sega used to compete against Sony back in the day, but times have changed. Fans can only hope that “Shenmue 3” is just as good as they want it to be.
