'Sherlock Holmes 3': New Villain Is An American Senator

Details of some of the new characters in “Sherlock Holmes 3” have surfaced online. After dealing with the villain Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris), the detective played by Robert Downey Jr. will take on a new enemy.
One of the new villains in the upcoming movie will be an American Senator, CBR reported. Details about two new characters have been revealed in a character descriptions that have surfaced online.
The new villain is revealed to be a man named Senator Cornelius Guest. The plot of the film is said to revolve around the villain planning to steal America’s gold. The character is physically strong who may be able to take on Sherlock in a fight, and he always carries a Bowie knife with him.
The other villain in the movie is Colonel Sebastian Moran, a role that will be reprised by Paul Anderson. It is unclear if the two villains in “Sherlock Holmes 3” will be working together or separately.
According to CBR, Sebastian will only have a minor role in the upcoming film. The character will be back for revenge for the death of Professor Moriarity, and he will send assassins to hunt down Holmes and his friend John Watson (Jude Law).
The other big character who will be joining the movie is Sidney Bloom, a woman who is said to be just under 30. She will be a U.S. Marshall who will be posing as a journalist from San Francisco. This is said to be a major character who will be spending a lot of time with both Sherlock and Watson.
Sidney is tipped to help complete the trifecta after joining Holmes and Watson. It remains to be seen who will be cast in this role.
“Sherlock Holmes 3” will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, Variety reported. The filming is expected to begin later this year and it will be released on Dec. 22, 2021.
