Many “Sherlock” fans look for spoilers, but they found more than they ever anticipated this weekend. A Russian version of the Season 4 finale leaked online, and now some know what happens in episode 3, titled “The Final Problem.”
Of course, the writers would rather fans wait to watch until the mystery series airs in their respective country. Watching on television helps the TV show’s ratings. However, the messages from producers and the drama’s official Twitter account were about wanting to save audiences from spoilers about the PBS drama.
We are aware that #Sherlock episode 3 has been uploaded illegally online. If you come across it, please do not share it. #KeepMeSpoilerFree

Unfortunately, not everyone is keeping their mouths shut. The “Sherlock” finale, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, is sure to be a jaw-dropping episode. After all, it’s the last episode that will air for quite some time. More than one viewer has found unwanted spoilers on the internet, and it’s even leading some fans to avoid the web all together until the episode airs on TV.
That's it#Twitter is providing more spoilers than #Tumblr

Luckily, they don’t have to wait long. Both British and America viewers will be able to watch the finale Sunday night. American audiences will even get to see the episode earlier than usual. PBS is airing the “Sherlock” finale at 7 p.m. EST, and they’re hoping viewers stick around at 9 p.m. EST for their new historical drama “Victoria.”
Those who tune in will finally know how the season ends, but it won’t be clear if it’s the series finale. As previously reported, despite any ominous quotes from the actors, no one knows if “Sherlock” Season 4, episode 3 is actually the series finale. Executive producer Steven Moffat has been forced to deny cancellation rumors many times recently.
“We don’t know,” Moffat told Entertainment Weekly last month. “We haven’t sat down with the intent to anything yet. But we’re always aware that it could be over.”
