SHIB Reveals 'Shiba Eternity' Download Day; Teases Tournaments, Prizes

The Shiba Inu community witnessed remarkable developments Thursday as the team dropped game-changing announcements, including the most important one about the "Shiba Eternity" official Download Day.

The team revealed that "Shiba Eternity" official Download Day will be Oct. 1, which is just a few days away.

Earlier in the day, Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, joined the Official "Shiba Eternity" Community Discord and talked about tournaments and other exciting details surrounding the collectible card game. Based on the screenshots shared by former Shiba Inu growth member and social media influencer @GossipShib, Kusama and the rest of the team are currently working on "a variety of tournaments" for "Shiba Eternity."

Not going into details, the lead developer mentioned that tournaments could "take place in-person or via the app." Aside from tournaments, Kusama said there would be a "major showdown," but at the moment, they are still looking for "additional sponsors" and to find a venue for the said event.

The lead developer further confirmed that tournaments will have prizes and encouraged the community to "get their [your] decks tight" so they would have a "fighting chance to win." Moreover, they asked the Shib Army to download "Shiba Eternity" on Download Day, a" free way to help SHIB."

Kusama shared that breaking app stores on Download Day is part of the plan. "By getting a burst of download on day one of the game, we will pump it to the top of the app store, which will immediately push the game to those who are curious," the lead developer explained. "By getting outside our immediate community, we grow SHIB," they added.

Following the discussion on Discord, several key Shiba Inu personalities joined the "Shiba Eternity" Spaces on Twitter. Among them were Shiba Inu Game Alpha Director William Volk, Shiba Inu Discord moderator Shib Queenie, Shiba Inu Growth Breed member Archangel, and lead developer Shytoshi Kusama via Shib Queenie.

In the discussion, some interesting details about the upcoming collectible card game were also revealed, including the availability of over 500 cards with thousands of traits utilizing Shiboshis, the Shiba Inu generated Non–Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

The team also clarified in Twitter Spaces that "Shiba Eternity'' is not a play-to-win game. The upcoming CCG title is just one of the many projects of the Shiba Inu community. The game's test versions are currently available in Vietnam and Australia.
