Shiba Inu's Kusama Reveals Link Between 'Shiba Eternity' And Shibarium
"Shiba Eternity" is the first collectible card game (CCG) offering from the Shiba Inu team, and while the members of the Shib Army are currently busy playing and powering up their Shiboshi in the game, Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the dog-themed altcoin, revealed over the weekend the connection between the latest mobile game and Shibarium.
The Shiba Inu development team ticked off another box in its to-do list on Oct. 6, when it officially released "Shiba Eternity." The mobile card game surged to the top spot of the ranking of card games on the Apple App Store and reached over 10,000 downloads on Google Play Store just a few hours after its release.
The Shib Army is yet to discover a lot of things about the game, but over the weekend, Kusama revealed the link between the game and the upcoming layer-2 solution Shibarium. Kusama discussed the game on the official Shiba Inu Discord server and thanks to former Shiba Inu Growth Breed member and social media influencer @GossipShib, some SHIB holders who were not able to join in the platform still have an idea of what the devs talked about.
Kusama shared that "Shiba Eternity" will allow the developers to test Shibarium "like a working blockchain." The lead developer suggested that for the upcoming layer-2 solution to be thoroughly tested, it should run a "complex game," noting that "Shiba Eternity's" release serves a lot of purpose to the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
In January, Kusama described "Shiba Eternity'' (still unnamed at the time) as the community's "incredible first version of the Shiboshi game." They also mentioned its blockchain version, which "will be licensed solely to the decentralized team at Shiba Inu for use on Shibarium."
Moreover, Kusama noted that the developers would "add various decentralized elements to enhance this mobile version." Unfortunately, Kusama did not mention anything about the release window of the game's blockchain version or Shibarium.
However, reading between the lines, it looks like Shibarium is up and now in its testing stage since developers can now use it to test "Shiba Eternity." As to when the documentation would be released is still anybody's guess, considering that the Shiba Inu team does not give a specific timeline for its upcoming projects.
