Shiba Inu's Shytoshi Kusama Reveals Why Shibarium Isn't Out Yet
Shiba Inu's pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama, like the rest of the Shib Army, is excited about the official launch of the highly anticipated Layer-2 solution Shibarium and while the team has not yet revealed the release date of the project, the top honcho of the Shiba Inu ecosystem explained why.
Kusama's answer was shared by the former Shiba Inu Growth Breed member and content creator who goes by the Twitter handle @LucieSHIB. The content creator expressed her excitement in finding out "how different Layer 2 Shibarium will be."
On Monday, the content creator uploaded a screenshot taken from the official Telegram channel of Shiba Inu showing Kusama's response to someone who accused the lead developer of having no knowledge about the release date of Shibarium.
"Don't be silly," Kusama responded, noting that if they had listened to "all the wens we would have released at the bottom."
The Shiba Inu pseudonymous lead developer also shared a nugget of wisdom about patience and underlined to the community that Shibarium is not just a layer 2 project but something to help change the world.
"Patience is key to success. AND we aren't releasing just another L2. We are building something to change the world. And I need to fully explain the difference," Kusama said on the Telegram channel.
The lead developer, who often opted to build instead of entertaining drama and FUD, over the weekend likened Shibarium to a pine tree as a reaction to a tweet about the tree of life having a thousand leaves, but all these leaves are the same tree.
"During fall the tree may have only a few leaves, but then spring appears," Kusama said.
"Luckily, Shibarium, in this context, is a Pine Tree. Still, it needs water, sunlight and proper soil. But pines survive and thrive during the harshest winters. (I also hear [that] the needle tea is good for u.)
The lead developer seemingly suggested that the main project is not yet ready for release since it still needs to complete important aspects or elements. He, however, underlined that once launched, Shibarium could withstand and even thrive in the harshest environment.
While the hype surrounding the launch of Shibarium is extremely high, the Shiba Inu development team made it clear earlier that they will first make a phased rollout of the project's Beta version before they release the actual layer-2 scalability solution.
As of 1:52 a.m. ET on Tuesday, SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, was trading down 2.98% at $0.00001044 with a 24-hour volume of $322,342,890, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
