A shooting in the University of Alabama in Huntsville has left three people dead and at least one person injured, the Huntsville Times reported Friday afternoon.

Shots were fired inside the University's Shelby Center just before 4:00 p.m., ABC News 33/40 reported.

A female shooter is reportedly in custody and police are working to clear the building, Ray Garner, a spokesman for the UAH said, according to the paper.

The paper reports that a student heard screams coming from a room where a biology faculty meeting was occurring.
