Another celebrity will be able to call themselves a “Dancing With the Stars” champion after the Season 30 finale, and there are good reasons to believe that person could be Jojo Siwa.

The singer and former reality TV star and her partner, Jenna Johnson, also known as #TeamJNation, have been the best team in terms of performance throughout the most recent season of the ABC reality series, consistently turning in performances that have wowed the judges. When it comes to pulling off flawless routines, they are the team to beat—though they could still have some odds stacked against them in the end. Still, there are reasons why they shouldn’t be counted out when it comes to the Mirrorball Trophy.

Pros:

They Have The Highest Average Scores

Overall, Jojo and Jenna have been the ones to beat the entire season, being at the top of the judges’ leaderboard pretty much Week one, and only falling generally into second or third place at worst. They’ve earned the most 10s overall from the judges, as well as four perfect scores thus far. An ability to perform memorable routines, and dance them well is critical when vying for the Mirrorball, and no one else has come close to the pair when that is taken into account.

Jojo Is One Of The Show’s Best Overall Performers

While her past experience as a dancer has earned her some criticism from viewers, Jojo is also arguably one of the best performers in the show’s history and is right up there in average scores with some of the show’s previous winners. Thus far, with 11 routines, she has earned 400 total points and has a 36.4 average score. With four other seasons that featured a panel of four judges, her average thus far makes her the fourth-best performer, falling behind former champions Rumer Willis (who averaged 37 points), Alfonso Ribeiro (who average 36.9 points) and Laurie Hernandez (who averaged 36.9 points). She already ranks above former champion Rashad Jennings, who had an average of 36 points.

It’s also worth noting that while her average is lower than the other three champions, she has also performed far fewer routines this season. They all ended their seasons performing between 15-16 dances, while Jojo currently has only done 11. If she only performs two dances in the finale, her grand total will only be 13 routines. Perfect scores on both would bring her to a grand total of 480 points throughout the season—and a projected average score of 36.9, which ties her with Laurie and Alfonso for second-highest average in that case—but still with fewer routines.

Jenna Is An Impressive Choreographer

Another advantage Jojo has is that her pro partner, Jenna Johnson, is one who is known for innovative choreography, which helps showcase Jojo’s strong spots and nature as a performer. That has also helped play into their scores all season—and could help further them in the finale, where Jenna will likely pull out all the stops for a Freestyle.

Cons

A Jojo Win Could Bring Backlash

Viewers have expressed disappointment throughout the season with the fact that Jojo is a favorite, with two big reasons standing out the most. First, many have taken issue with her past experience, stating that it gave her an unfair advantage from the beginning. The second has been that much was made about her and Jenna making history as the first same-sex partnership on the show. Many felt it was hyped up too much, and that things were rigged behind the scenes for the pair to win from the beginning because the show crowning a historic couple during a landmark season would certainly make headlines. Knowing that it could have a negative spin later could lead the judges to try and lowball scores in the finals as a result, which, if her fellow competitors have more votes from the public, could knock the Mirrorball out of Jojo’s reach.

Jenna Has Won Before

While it was a truncated season, Jenna is also a previous Mirrorball winner, and that is something that has played into the show’s eventual winner being declared every season for the last six in a row. To date, only Cheryl Burke, Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas, Derek Hough, Kym Johnson, Peta Murgatroyd and Val Chmerkovskiy have won more than one Mirrorball, with Val being the last pro to take a second trophy in Season 23. Since then, the show’s eventual winner has always been a team where the pro partner had not previously won. If that trend continues, then Jenna, who won in Season 26, will be what actually keeps Jojo from a win.

The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 30 finale airs Monday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
