Should Prince William, Kate Middleton Have Waited Longer Before Having Kids?
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been married for two years when they welcomed their first child, Prince George. Two years later, they welcomed Princess Charlotte and just last year Prince Louis was born.
On the online forum site Quora, royal fans are wondering if it would have been best for the second in line to the throne to wait for a few more years to have his first children. Prince William was 31 years old when Prince George was born.
Princess Diana and Prince Charles had their first child when they were 21 years old and 33 years old, respectively. Mary Gordon, a former director, said that there is no reason for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to wait longer before they had babies.
Jennifer Quail, a former student at the George Washington University, said that there was no reason for the royal couple to wait for a few more years. Middleton was already in her 30s when she gave birth to her three children. And delaying her pregnancies could have been very risky.
“While they probably have more pressure than the average couple to have children, by all appearances they also WANT to have a family because they want a family, not to just crank out an heir and a spare,” the royal fan said.
Other royal fans said that the question doesn’t make much sense. This is because there is no connection between Prince Charles and Princess Diana having kids to Prince William and Middleton having children.
Princess Diana was a virgin and she was also very young when she had Prince William and Prince Harry. This is why after she married Prince Charles, it only took her two months to get pregnant.
“Charles’ first child was born some 11 months after his wedding to Diana. George was born more than 2 years after William married. Katherine was 31 when she had George and had been married over 2 years - why would they wait any longer to have a child?” the royal fan said.
