Democratic Presidential candidate may have been just trying to celebrate National Dessert Day with a pitstop at a Dairy Queen store, but a video of him flipping his Blizzard treat over has sparked some serious debate on Twitter.

The presidential candidate, who seeks to unseat President Donald Trump, has his love of ice cream mentioned in his Twitter biography, which may have prompted his decision to head to the dessert chain. However, as he posted the video, which showed him holding a soft-serve vanilla cone and a Blizzard treat, which he then flipped over, led to some confusion on social media, as some were unsure what he was doing and why.

However, others quickly took to social media to defend Biden and criticize his detractors, stating that this was something that Dairy Queen themselves has always done, with employees usually flipping the treats over themselves before serving them to customers.

Dairy Queen states on their website that Blizzards are Upside Down, with a description of them being “Upsidedownright thick”--meaning that the ice cream is so thick and doesn’t melt-so it can be turned upside down.

The treats on the menu—including the limited-time offerings of Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Apple Pie, Choco-dipped Strawberry, Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough, Brownie Dough and Oreo Mocha Fudge-- are also pictured upside down on the website.
