Sick ‘Stranger Things’ Star Noah Schnapp Misses ‘GMA’: ‘Life Imitating Art’
Noah Schnapp, who plays Will on Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” was set to appear on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday to talk about the show’s new season, but he had to pull out due to an illness.
“Hi ‘GMA’ and ST [‘Stranger Things’] fans! Sorry I am missing this,” Schnapp tweeted late Monday night, along with a photo of him in what looks to be a hospital room.
He said it’s “nothin’ serious,” and, at least, it appears he’s well enough to still be making jokes as he talks about this whole sickness-situation being “life imitating art.”
This, for those who have seen “Stranger Things” Season 2 know, is in reference to his character having to go to a scientist-doctor a lot in the new season to be tested on and he’s seen hooked up to wires and cables and machines a few times.
Though, his mention of this being nothing too serious is bound to put fans at ease that he I most likely not actually being taken over by the shadow monster, like he was in “Stranger Things.”
Once he posted his tweet, Schnapp got a lot of “get well soon” tweets from fans and co-workers.
“Love ya kid,” his co-star David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper, tweeted to him. “Feel better.”
“Nothing can get Will the Wise down,” the official “Stranger Things” Twitter account wrote to him. “Feel better soon, pal.”
And the “GMA” Twitter account replied to Schnapp’s tweet, saying, “Get well soon.”
While Schnapp, unfortunately, could not make it to “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, “Stranger Things” was still well-represented on the morning show with four of his co-stars – Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Sadie Sink (Max) – there to help support Season 2 of the Netflix series.
The cast made quite the entrance on the show, having to save co-hosts Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan from the Upside Down before taking their seats in the main room.
Once everyone was saved and settled, Strahan asked the cast the hard questions: What are they really scared of?
“Clowns and spiders, for me,” Sink said of her fears.
What are @Stranger_Things kids ACTUALLY afraid of? For @milliebbrown it's sharks and the dark; @sadiesink is afraid of spiders and clowns! pic.twitter.com/g4Xr50CYgr

While she has two big fears, apparently Brown has a few more.
“Everything,” Brown said. “I mean, listen, I’m the biggest scaredy-cat. I feel like on set. I’m scared of everything. But mostly, I’m scared of the dark. The dark just freaks me out. Or definitely sharks.”
The two female stars shared their fears, but the two male actors kept their fears close to them and didn’t get a chance to reveal them to the “GMA audience.”
If you’re ready to be scared, it’s time to stream “Stranger Things” Season 2, which is now available on Netflix.
