Sienna Miller Goes Topless in Esquire Cover; Speaks About Her Many Relationships And How She 'Sabotaged Things' Saying She Is No Longer A 'Tabloid Victim'
Sienna Miller, in an effort to come back into the limelight, has appeared nude on the cover of Esquire UK’s March issue, and has opened up about her past in an interview with the magazine, which will hit the stands Jan. 30.
The 32-year-old British actress, in the black-and-white cover photo, stares at the camera while lying topless on a bed. And, in her interview with Alex Bilmes for the magazine, Miller speaks up about her personal life, her past and how she is no longer a “tabloid victim, the subject of prurient gossip.”
Miller who is now engaged to actor Tom Sturridge, with whom she has an 18-month-old daughter, reportedly admitted to the magazine that she was lucky to have another chance in Hollywood, after what happened in her personal life. After Miller’s breakup with British actor Jude Law in 2005, rumors of her alleged affair with James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, surrounded her. She then got involved in a controversy with the now-defunct tabloid, News of the World, which admitted that it had hacked into her phone.
Miller spoke about her relationship with her “Alfie” co-star, Law, which started in 2004, with whom she later split, following the cheating scandals. She reportedly said that a part of her life had ended in an “awful” manner, adding: “When something ends in a way like that, it’s important if you can, in a way, go back and revisit it and either shut the door or create a new room. So it was a very healthy, cathartic experience.”
“I sabotaged things. I burnt a lot of bridges,” she admitted. She added saying that she focused on her work when she was on the set, but when she wasn’t at work, “I wasn’t behaving the way you should.”
According to reports, Miller started dating actor Rhys Ifans, after her split with Law. She was later involved with another actor, Balthazar Getty, a father of four.
According to Miller: “What was going on in my private life was not an easy thing to read about. People don’t want to see films with people they don’t approve of in them.” Miller said that after these incidents, she took a break as she “felt like I had no control over any aspect of my life, professionally or personally. So I deliberately disappeared.”
Miller and Law reunited for a year until the beginning of 2011. She said: “I think it paved the way for both of us to have great futures with no animosity or drama. Such a huge relief, to heal that. And I'm great friends with him and with his children. I love them, madly. Just huge love and respect for all of them."
After a string of relationships, Miller says she found happiness with fiancé, Sturridge. “I feel really settled. I have a wonderful life. I’m up every morning with a little baby. That gives you incredible perspective. It’s such a gift. And it’s grounding in a way you can’t describe,” she said.
"He’s the perfect balance to my lunacy, which makes him sound really boring but he’s not, at all," she says of Sturridge. "It’s good, it works. It’s not easy, of course, but we’re a family and I love that."
