Simu Liu Makes Fun Of Batman's Oversized Cape: 'Terrible Idea'
Marvel star Simu Liu's funny take on Batman's cape has left fans in splits and they can't stop talking about the superhero's attire.
The 32-year-old actor took to Twitter Wednesday to share a thought-provoking tweet. Liu wrote that he doesn't want to be disrespectful towards anyone but riding a motorcycle with an oversized cape sounds like a "terrible idea."
"I am not out here trying to disrespect anyone I just... isn't riding a motorcycle while wearing an oversized cape like a TERRIBLE idea?" he tweeted.
The actor's tweet on Batman's cape triggered an avalanche of responses with fans immediately listing all superheroes who wear capes, including Doctor Strange, who is popular for using his cape during fights.
"Shang-Chi on a Motorcycle wearing Doctor Strange's Cape as new Ghost Rider Confirmed for Multiverse of Madness?!" a user commented. "(This is obviously a joke btw)."
Another fan agreed to this user's theory and replied, "If this really happened I would freak out so much in the theater."
One of the users also imagined Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) in the same situation and wrote, "*imagining Dr. Strange riding a motorcycle with the cloak of levitating on*"
A fan shared a GIF of Batman riding his motorcycle while wearing an oversized cape as Liu mentioned in his tweet.
A user took a dig at Liu's recently dropped Marvel movie, "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings" featuring Dragon, and commented, "Oh, but flying a dragon is safe???"
Many users explained in the comments section that the cape was added later with the help of CGI to make Batman look better on the Batmobile (his vehicle). However, others noted that it would be dangerous to ride a bike with a cape in real life.
DC Universe's upcoming movie, "The Batman" is slated to release on March 4. Robert Pattinson will portray the title role in the movie which also stars Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jayme Lawson and Barry Keoghan.
On the work front, Liu will be next seen in "One True Loves," which is slated for release in 2022. Liu is currently filming "Arthur the King," which is also expected to come out later this year.
