The Tuesday night Mega Millions lottery drawing had a major jackpot win for a $126 million single ticket sold in New York. The grand prize winner was the only instant millionaire of the night.

The winning numbers were 7, 18, 38, 58, 64, with a gold Mega Ball pull of 24. The Megaplier was 3X.

The Friday Mega Millions jackpot was worth $126 million with a cash option of $84.5 million. The jackpot winner matched all six numbers drawn along with the gold Mega Ball.

None of the players were able to hit the Match 5, which have resulted in a $1 million win. If players would have matched five numbers with a Megaplier purchase, they would have won $3 million apiece.

A total of nine tickets won $10,000 by hitting the Match 4 and the gold Mega Ball. Meanwhile, only three players snagged $30,000 each for matching the four numbers and Mega Ball with a Megaplier purchase.

The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $2 to $1,500. In addition to the jackpot winner, 461,580 other prizes were won in the Tuesday night drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased in New York and comes after 11 drawings since the Jan. 28 win in California. At the time, the jackpot was worth an estimated $426 million.

Following the latest big win, the Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $20 million with a cash value of $13.4 million. The next drawing will take place Friday at 11 p.m ET.

Lottery winners can receive their winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who opt for the annuity receive one immediate payment that is followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% every year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
