Gwendlyn Brown set the record straight on disturbing rumors about her dad, Kody Brown, and his adopted daughter, Aurora.
Gwendlyn recently answered fans' questions about their family's TLC show "Sister Wives."
During the Q&A session, the 21-year-old reality star responded to a question about a picture that appeared to show Kody, 53, "making out" with his and Robyn Brown's 20-year-old daughter Aurora.
Kody adopted Aurora and her siblings Dayton, 22, and Breanna, 18, after legally marrying his fourth and now only remaining wife, Robyn, 44, in 2014. She shares the three kids with her ex-husband David Jessop. Kody and Robyn have two children together: Solomon, 11, and Ariella, 7.
"No, my father does not kiss his children like that," Gwendlyn responded, Us Weekly reported. "Obviously, as kids, we give him a little smooch because we're children, but no, not at all. I'm so sorry you were tricked into thinking that. That's horrifying."
Kody is a dad of 18. In addition to his kids with Robyn, he and his first wife Meri Brown share one child, Leon, 27. He has six children with his second wife Janelle Brown—Logan, 28, Madison, 27, Hunter, 25, Robert, 24, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18. He also shares Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 24, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12, with this third wife, Christine Brown.
The "Cooking With Just Christine" star and Kody announced their split in November 2021 after more than 25 years of marriage.
An unnamed source told Us Weekly at the time that Christine left Kody because, despite being in a plural marriage, he "has been completely devoted to Robyn."
In part 3 of the "Sister Wives: One-on-One" special, which aired earlier this month, Kody admitted that he "favors" Robyn. He also insisted that "Christine ... incite[s] enmity toward Robyn," while claiming that Robyn "never did anything to Christine but be kind to her."
Last month, Janelle announced that she and Kody had been separated "for several months." Weeks later, several outlets reported that Meri and Kody were also no longer together.
On Tuesday, Meri and Kody released a joint statement formally announcing their split. The former couple said they felt compelled to share their truth in their own way and in their own timing following the "unapproved press release" declaring that they had ended their marriage.
"After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship," they said.
They continued, "During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace and love."
Following his split from three of his wives, the polygamous Brown patriarch is left with only one wife, Robyn.
