‘Sister Wives’ Janelle And Robyn Speak Out After Kody’s Bleak Outlook On Family’s Future
It’s been no secret that he and Meri have struggled in their marriage for years, but on the most recent episode of “Sister Wives,” it appeared that those issues have started to seep into Kody’s beliefs about plural marriage as a whole, and led to two of his wives speaking out about his more cynical look at the institution.
During the most recent episode of the TLC series, Kody and Meri went off to celebrate their “non-anniversary”-- which was actually their 30th anniversary as a married couple—and discussed their relationship, including where things stood for them since they hadn’t actively been acting like a married couple—or one at all-for some time.
As they continued to discuss their relationship though, Kody also began to question their entire family’s relationships and whether or not his wives would be better off—or if he would even be better off—seeking something other than the arrangements they had. As he discussed that, both Robyn and Janelle took to Twitter to also sound off on the newly cynical view of their plural family.
Robyn quickly admitted that their relationships had suffered, especially during the pandemic, when they were all forced to quarantine and spend time apart, and revealed they did need to work on things, even if it was hard to hear her husband admit that.
Meanwhile, Janelle took a more positive tone, indicating that while she was the one who initially brought up concerns about their family splintering since their move to Flagstaff, she was sure that as a whole, their family would be able to make it through to the other side.
Of course, the family also needed to answer some of the drama that unfolded regarding Meri and Kody. While Meri has been staying off social media since her mother’s passing, Kody was present and online for the episode and quickly lashed out at trolls who criticized the way he was handling things in his relationship.
Robyn also spoke up about their marriage, stating that she supported them both, but she wasn’t going to get dragged into the drama.
“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
