KEY POINTS

  • The Utah Jazz will have their hands full as they try to get their second win against a hungry 76ers five
  • Philly will visit Utah with a practically healthy roster as they try to bounce back from a loss to Oklahoma City Thunder
  • The 76ers are the favorite to win over the hosting Utah Jazz Saturday

The Utah Jazz will host the visiting Philadelphia 76ers at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, Saturday in a cross-conference matchup between two teams coming off different last-game results.

However, Utah may need to push its healthy players to do more against a Sixers quintet expected to play with a complete roster.

In their last match, the Jazz won over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 116-114, despite the 46-point explosion by Donovan Mitchell.

"I was really comfortable," Mitchell said, according to ESPN. "It wasn't weird. It was just like playing as I have here for the last five years. The reception was phenomenal and I'm appreciative of it."

Jordan Clarkson dropped 32 points of his own, along with six rebounds. Lauri Markkanen continued his impressive run as well, finishing with 25 points and 16 rebounds.

The Jazz has the fourth-best offensive rating in the league right now with 116.5 points per 100 possessions. However, their defensive effort needs to improve since they are surrendering 115.8 points per game.

For the Sixers, seeking a bounce-back win will be their battle cry after dropping a 114-132 decision to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Joel Embiid finished with 30 points against the Thunder along with 10 caroms. James Harden backed up the Cameroonian big man with 24 points, 15 assists and six rebounds.

"We're a good defensive team, but we did not defend tonight," 76ers coach Doc Rivers said. "I guess the one common theme overall is just getting beat off the dribble into the point. On those nights, we struggle. Honestly, on those nights, every team struggles. They got into the paint over and over again."

The Sixers own an offensive rating of 114.3, which is eighth in the league. They are fourth in the league in defense with a defensive rating of 110.2.

The 76ers are a -4.0 spread favorite to prevail over the Jazz, which is at +4.0, according to odds from Bet365. The moneyline for this showdown is -175 for Philadelphia and +155 for Utah.

The Jazz will brace for the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday at the Vivint Smart Home Arena, with the game set to start at 9 p.m. EST. The game will be telecast over NBA League Pass, and live streaming will be available via fuboTV.
