Skype 5.5 Beta for Windows Tightens Facebook Integration
The newly released Skype 5.5 beta for Windows is bringing along more Facebook integrated features including facebook chat.
Now, the Facebook contact tab on Skype will notify when your Facebook friends are online and you can chat with them rightaway without opening a browser.
The added features would be very handy for those Skype users who don't like to use more than one instant messaging programs for their different email IDs and social networking accounts.
In addition, Skype 5.5 also has advanced Call Control Toolbar featuring renovated graphic icons and visual enhancement to place a call on hold.
The latest update also features an improved phone-number-saving feature, which makes saving a number in the “Call Phones” section much easier than before.
Earlier, Skype for Windows users could access Facebook news feeds by using the application platform. They were making Skype calls or text messages to their Facebook buddies only if their phone numbers were provided in their Facebook profiles.
