‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 3 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Root Of All Evil’?
Who’s ready for more “Sleepy Hollow” drama? Because that’s exactly what fans of the hit Fox series will get when episode 3, “Root of All Evil,” airs Monday, Oct. 6. According to the synopsis for next week’s episode, which was written by Melissa Black and Donald Todd, viewers can anticipate for episode 3 to center around Sleepy Hollow’s newest threat: currency.
When several Sleepy Hollow residents start acting out violently, Ichabod (Tom Mison) will discover that their erratic behavior is due to the effects of a “Judas Coin.” Curious to what a Judas Coin is? Well, according to the summary of episode 3, it's a “centuries old piece of mystical currency with the power to bring the previously dormant but decidedly deadly urges of its bearer to the fore.”
Maybe Ichabod should have taken out a credit card when the banker from episode 2 suggested it. You don’t hear about “Judas Cards” swiping terror throughout the plot of “Sleepy Hollow," now do you?
Ichabod and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) will soon come to realize the coin’s presence in their spooky town is attributed to Henry (John Noble). That’s when Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) will reveal to her sister to even the odds by getting a “purveyor of rare and mystical artifacts” to come to their aid.
But Ichabod will be a tad apprehensive to add the “ruggedly handsome” Nick Hawley (Matt Barr) to their group. However, Mison’s character will have no other choice when he learns his son’s next victim is someone very near and dear to him. We’re theorizing Ichabod will find out Irving (Orlando Jones) has signed a blood oath -- unknowingly -- with the Horseman of War.
Katrina (Katia Winter) will be taking her role as a mole to a whole new level in episode 3 when she attempts to drive a wedge between the two Horsemen of the Apocalypse. But it’s Jenny’s storyline about which we’re most excited. The synopsis says she’ll discover a “startling truth” about Sleepy Hollow’s new sheriff (Sakina Jaffrey) when she learns about Leena’s involvement in “another seminal event in the lives of the Mills sisters.”
