Snapchat Update: Easy Chat Access With Bitmoji

Not long after Facebook and Instagram debuted new features that copy Snapchat’s geotags and location filters, Snapchat has released a new chat feature that revamps the chat feature in the app and integrates Bitmoji.

The new Snapchat update added a quick chat function that appears right on the home screen of your iPhone or Android. Now any of your “best friends” on Snapchat who have Bitmojis will appear on the “Today” page or the homepage of your device.

First, update the app, and keep in mind this only works for Bitmoji users and friends.

How to use Snapchat’s Bitmoji update on iPhone:

When you’re on your home screen, swipe right, to pull up the “Today” page/menu on your phone. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and select “Edit.” This will bring you to the page on which you can edit the widgets that appear on your “Today” page.

Add Snapchat by selecting it with the green “+” next to the name. Hit “done” in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Now if you scroll down on the “Today” page you should see Snapchat, and the Bitmojis of the your “best friends” in the app. When you click on their Bitmoji, your Snapchat chat with them will automatically open, quick and easy.

How to use Snapchat’s Bitmoji on Android:

It’s a little more simple to get this function on your Android homepage. Just click and hold any open spot on your page where you don’t already have an app, then select “widgets.” Pick Snapchat and you can select up to four friends to keep on your home screen. It works the same as it does on iOS so just click and select a friend when you want to open up your chat with them.

The update seems to be a hit among users who appreciate the ease with which they can chat now.
