‘Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3’ Dev Explains New Delay In Release Of First-Person Tactical Shooter
Sorry, but “Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3” is not meeting its previously scheduled release date yet again. Developer CI Games just announced another delay in the game’s launch. Fortunately, the waiting period wouldn’t be as long as the first delay.
CI Games announced earlier today that instead of the April 4 release date, “Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3” will launch at a later date, specifically on April 25. The three-week extension is said to be important for the development of the first-person tactical shooter since the developers will be implementing the feedback they received from the beta build prior its official release.
“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new ‘Sniper Ghost Warrior’ experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series,” CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski was quoted as saying by Xbox Achievements. “We believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience.”
Tyminski also assured fans of the game that this will be the final delay in the game’s release when he stated, “It’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time.” He also implied that fans will surely love the game at launch when he said, “We know the wait will be worth it.”
This is the second time that CI Games decided to push back the game’s release to a later date. In October 2016, the developer announced its decision to move the January 2017 planned release of the game to April 4. At the time, the developers explained in a blog post that they needed more time to “further polish and optimize” the video game.
Announced in December 2014, “Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3” tells a tale of brotherhood and betrayal of American sniper Jonathan North, who is assigned to carry out a risky mission while also working on his personal mission to find his brother in northern Georgia. Players take on the role of North in exploring the open world and realizing the different missions in enemy territory with the use of certain weapons, accessories, vehicles and a drone, according to IGN.
“Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3” is slated for launch on the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
