Is 'SNL' Live Tonight? Next Host And Musical Guest Revealed
"Saturday Night Live" fans can look forward to a new episode on Dec. 3 after the NBC comedy sketch show went on its first hiatus of the season in mid-November.
Actress Keke Palmer will be hosting "SNL" for the first time with musical guest SZA. Palmer's hosting gig comes ahead of the People's Choice Award ceremony, which is scheduled to take place Monday night.
The 29-year-old actress is nominated for the drama movie star of 2022 and the female movie star of 2022 for her role in the Jordan Peele film "Nope."
Palmer is also expected to appear in the long-awaited "Sister Act 3" movie alongside Whoopi Goldberg.
When the "Scream Queens" alum makes her "Saturday Night Live" debut, Palmer is optimistic that the time Amy Schumer spent helping her prepare will lead to a memorable night.
"I'm thrilled to the moon. I just can't wait," Palmer said during an interview with CNN.
"I know it's gonna be so much fun. I'm really excited about it and just looking forward to doing it. I think it's gonna be a unique experience, but also some familiar territory. And then it'll just be fun seeing how they do it, you know, on their side of it. Because I love sketch."
Palmer recently appeared in a promo video with SZA and "SNL" cast member Bowen Yang to promote her upcoming hosting gig. In one clip, Yang was so excited about the episode that he forgot his name.
Yang hilariously introduced himself as Brown Yang, Bowen Yung, Brown Yung, Cohen Yang, and Andy Cohen.
In another promo shared earlier in the week, Palmer proved she was ready for her host duties by showing off her "octuple threat" skills, which included an impression of Angela Bassett, beekeeping, and folding a fitted sheet.
"SNL" airs Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
