Is ‘SNL’ New Tonight? 6 Things To Watch On Oct. 19
“Saturday Night Live” just returned to the airwaves last month, but it’s already time for the first hiatus. “SNL” is not new tonight, but there are plenty of things to watch on TV on Oct. 19.
“Ghostbusters II” (11:25 p.m EDT, Freeform) The cable network will kick the night off with the first “Ghostbusters” at 8:55 p.m., but the sequel will be starting right when “SNL” usually begins. “SNL” alums Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray star. Cast members Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis also had turns hosting “Saturday Night Live.”
“Goonies” (11:30 p.m. EDT, Paramount Network) Before Josh Brolin was Thanos, he was hosting “SNL.” Before he was hosting in Studio 8H, he was one of the kids in this classic flick.
“Suicide Squad” (11:30 p.m. EDT, FX) David Harbour, who plays Dexter Tolliver, made his first appearance on the show just last week while Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie hosted in 2016.
“Tomorrow Never Dies” (11 p.m. EDT, THIS) Pierce Brosnan stars in this 1997 James Bond movie, and he hosted “SNL” in 2001. Teri Hatcher, who hosted in 1996, also appears in the film.
“Wedding Crashers” (11 p.m. EDT, Comedy Central) Stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have both appeared on “SNL.” Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher also star.
“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m. EDT, NBC) Of course, there’s always a rerun. The “SNL” Season 45 premiere will be broadcast again tonight. “Zombieland: Double Tap” star Woody Harrelson hosted while 17-year-old singer Billie Eilish performed two songs. Watch the best skits.
New episodes of “SNL” return Saturday, Oct. 26 on NBC. The episode will feature Chance the Rapper, who will serve as both host and musical guest. The performer revealed on Instagram that pulling double duty has been his lifelong dream since he saw MC Hammer serve as both host and musical guest in 1991.
