Snooki has confirmed the name of her soon-to-be son, various media outlets reported: Nicole Snooki Polizzi and her fiance Jionni LaValle have decided to go with their Italian roots and name the baby Lorenzo.

Some of the self-proclaimed meatball's Jersey Shore castmates squealed the name in an interview, before they realized that Polizzi wasn't ready to make the announcement public, according to USA Today.

Polizzi's best friend, Jenni JWoww Farley tried to do some damage control by quickly adding, Well, it's a name she's thinking about.

But the damage had already been done.

No, Polizzi interjected. It's done, she confirmed.

The reality-television star is due to have baby Lorenzo at the end of the summer, and it will be the first child for Polizzi, 24, and LaValle, 25, MSN reported.

The couple is living together to get ready for the baby. Polizzi told Us Weekly that Lavalle takes care of me like a parent, and that's what I need. ... The other day he told me to clean up around the house and I was like, 'OK, Dad.'

On her spin-off series, Snooki & JWOWW, Polizzi said: Honestly, I didn't know that I could make a baby. So the fact that I can reproduce is very scary. Unsurprisingly, this is the same girl who screamed, Ew, the first time she saw a sonogram of her child.

Although she hasn't had her son yet, she tweeted yesterday, Omg my baby looks exactly like Jionni.

She also posted pictures of her bulging belly with the captions, My baby is taking over!!! and My bump and I ?.
