Snoop Dogg, who will perform with Eminem at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show 2022, has opened up about his past feud with the rapper and how he apologized.

The 50-year-old rapper said he loves Eminem.

"And the thing is, we love hip hop so much, we competitive," he told the host of the radio show "The Breakfast Club" on Wednesday. "We battle rappers, so that was suppose to trigger that in him."

Dogg explained that they are like family and they both respect each other. The rapper admitted that he should have been more careful while talking about him in public.

"But we brothers, and we family so we learn to appreciate each other for what we do and we get down and we had a long conversation about the respect that we have for each other," he added. "And the way we need to talk in public about each other."

The "Mac and Devin Go to High School" star noted that he was "out of pocket" and "apologized to him."

"I let him know and I'm just bettering myself. I make mistakes. I ain't perfect, I'm Snoop Dogg," he added.

The feud between the two began in 2020 when Dogg said he would not rank Eminem among the top 10 rappers of all time.

"I don't think [Eminem is in the top], but the game thinks that he's a Top 10 lyricist and everything that comes with it," Dogg said on "The Breakfast Club" in 2020. "That's just because he's with Dr. Dre."

It seems there is no problem between the two rappers anymore. It was announced earlier this month that the duo will perform together at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show in February next year.

Dogg will lend his voice to an animated movie that centers around a bird, titled "Pierre the Pigeon-Hawk," which is slated to release in 2022. He will also feature in the movie "Day Shift," which is under post-production.

Eminem was recently featured in a TV series, "BMF," which was aired on Sept. 26.
