Sofia Richie Says Dad Lionel Richie Supports Her, Scott Disick’s Relationship

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have been dating for a few months, and initial reports claimed that the supermodel’s dad, Lionel Richie, is not supportive of their relationship.

However, the 19-year-old recently clarified that there’s no truth to such claims because the “American Idol” reboot judge has always been “cool” when it comes to her choices.

“He’s good. He’s been very nice. He’s been very cool. He’s very supportive, whatever that means,” she said. During her conversation with E! News, the patriarch joked by pointing a fake gun at his head.

In September, a source told People that Richie is worried about his daughter dating the reality TV star.

“He thinks Scott is the worst person she could ever see and that he raised her better than that. He thinks he should have more respect for herself as a young woman. Lionel knows Scott’s playboy ways and he doesn’t want to see his daughter get hurt,” the source said.

Disick and Richie sparked dating rumors last summer after they were spotted cuddling while on a yacht in the south of France. But in May, Richie denied that they were an item by saying that they were just “homies.”

Prior to making things official with Richie, Disick was also linked to the likes of Bella Thorne and several other women. But he was in a long-term relationship with the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, Kourtney Kardashian. They have been blessed with three kids together, Mason, 7, Penelope, 5, and Reign, 3.

Meanwhile, Disick’s ex-girlfriend has moved on with a much younger man named Younes Bendjima. The male supermodel’s relationship with Kardashian did not sit well with Disick in the beginning, who told the E! reality TV star that he’s just been doing things to “spite” his ex-girlfriend.

On Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” filmed a couple of months ago, Disick and Kardashian will confront each other about their relationship, as well as Disick’s excessive partying. Instead of taking things seriously, the music mogul will joke about making out with the mom of his kids.
