Sofia Vergara Voted Most Desirable Woman of 2012: 10 Hottest Pics

Modern Family Star, Sofia Vergara, has been crowned the most desirable woman of 2012, in AskMen.com's annual Top 99 list.

Over one million men cast their votes in the annual poll that put Vergara in the top spot. The beautiful, curvaceous 40-year-old actress is the oldest celebrity to be honored with the title since the poll started, in 2000.

I think a lot of guys are surprised to hear she's [almost] 40, because she doesn't look it, James Bassil, the site's editor-in-chief told the National Post. He explained that the results of the 2012 list reflected the broadening profile of internet users who vary in age and type.

Vergara shows off the best cleavage on network TV, and we've never been more jealous of Ed O'Neill. But despite her obvious assets, Vergara's also one very funny woman, lampooning stereotypes with her perfect timing. You don't have to pretend to laugh at her jokes, even if you do have to make a concerted effort to pay attention to them. And though you'd never think it to look at her, Vergara is mother to a 20-year-old, AskMen.com wrote in a caption on their site.

Other celebrities who made the 2012 list included, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Priyanka Chopra, Kate Middleton, Zooey Deschanel, Emma Watson and Adele. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, who usually feature in the list, were absent this year. The site found that artists more active on social media did better, which could have been a reason for their absence.

Some big Old Guard names have disappeared, said Bassil. Last year, we saw representatives from both factions side-by-side, whereas this year, we're very much moving toward the new generation. These are the women we'll keep seeing on the list for years to come.

The online poll was conducted between Nov .16, 2011, and Jan 27, 2012, with 1.32 million votes cast worldwide.

Vergara caught media attention last December when she was caught on camera over-exposing her behind in opaque leggings. The pictures can be viewed here.

The actress looked elegant from the front, dressed all in black with a Channel bag and black-boot heals, but photos taken by the paparazzi show that from behind her shawl and shirt fell a little short--fully exposing her buttocks through her leggings.
