Soleil Moon Frye got candid about where she stands with Charlie Sheen after she opened up about their sexual past in her documentary.
Frye revealed in the Hulu documentary "Kid 90" in March that she had her "first consensual sexual experience" with Sheen when she was a teenager. In a new interview, the 44-year-old actress admitted she hasn't spoken to him since the release of the documentary, but she isn't worried about potential awkwardness.
"I have not spoken to him since [it came out]," Frye told Us Weekly while promoting Heluva Good!'s Best Friends DIP Line with Melissa Joan Hart. "I have to say, he’s always been very sweet to me throughout the years. I’m sure at some point we will have a catch-up."
Frye also said she has no regrets about the things she shared in the documentary. According to the "Proud Family" alum, she was only "staying true to my truth."
"I can only speak to my experiences and really staying true to my truth. What I found through the videos and the diaries and really realizing that through this experience of my story [is] all of our stories are so important," she told the outlet.
Frye continued, "What has been so incredible is the way in which people have shared their stories now. And that connective tissue that connects us all. And so, it’s been amazing, and I think one of the hardest things was just continuing to peel back the onion and really to discover my own truth. It changed so many aspects of my life, because once you open Pandora’s box, you can’t really put those things back. So how do they help you move forward in life?"
In the documentary, the "Punky Brewster" star read an entry in her journal dated Dec. 18, 1994, where she spoke about her sexual encounter with Sheen.
"It’s been the most strange and incredible day ever," she was quoted by Us Weekly as saying, adding that Sheen was her "Mr. Big," referring to Carrie Bradshaw's (Sarah Jessica Parker) love interest in "Sex and the City."
"He’s somebody I’ve had a crush on for years. He’s a person that intrigues me and excites me," Frye continued.
Frye was only 18 years old at the time, while the "Two and a Half Men" alum was 29. She described him as "kind and loving." According to Frye, they maintained their friendship through the years.
