‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoilers: New Promo Video Teases Wild Final Season
UPDATE: The new "Sons of Anarchy" trailer for the seventh and final season appears to be fan-made and not an official trailer from FX.
“Sons of Anarchy” will be returning to FX for its final season on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and according to reports, it’s going to be pretty wild.
But just to prove how chaotic Season 7 will be, Kurt Sutter, the mastermind behind “SoA,” created a teasing and head-spinning promo video to prepare fans for their final ride.
The fifth trailer leading up to the premiere, which was filmed in black and white, starts off slow and steady with a tranquil scene of a highway in Northern California. But soon “The Crows of Death” take a turn for the anarchic when our favorite boys from Charming show up, zooming through the road.
The ground starts shaking and the clouds darken as the Sons rev their engines past the camera. Their energy is so high, SAMCRO even knocks the camera topsy-turvy.
And that’s exactly what fans should expect in episode 1, “Black Widower” – a complete 180. According to Sutter, viewers should anticipate a totally different protagonist when Season 7 debuts.
During the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, Sutter admitted that while working on Charlie Hunnam’s script for Jax, he felt as if he were “writing for a brand new character.”
"This season will be the most proactive for Jax. He's driven, with a singular purpose. Rather than being the reactor to chaos, (Jax) is the inciter of chaos,” the creator added.
Hunnam was quick to bolster Sutter’s spoiler when he teased his evolution during an interview with TV Guide.
“Jax was always so tortured by the pull of who he thought he should be," Hunnam explained. "There's something really liberating about being rid of the sense of having to be a good guy. This is about Jax deciding, if he's got no reason to leave [the outlaw world], he may as well be what this world demands you be."
