‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoilers: Premiere Date Released; 7 Reasons We’re Excited For Final Season
After months of stalking Kurt Sutter’s Twitter for “Sons of Anarchy” clues of when the final season of the hit FX series would premiere, finally we’ve been given the answer. And we have to admit – we’ve already marked our calendars! The boys of Charming will be riding into your homes when Season 7 starts on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 p.m. EDT. Do you think you’re ready for the anarchy?
“It’s official. SEPTEMBER 9TH, B*TCHES! FX’S ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Final Season To Debut September 9th,” the mastermind behind the long-running biker drama told his fans. The tweet received nearly 2,000 retweets and about 1,500 favorites, but we’re sure those numbers will only increase as the premiere date inches closer.
Not only were fans given the premiere date, but we were also informed that “SoA” will return with a special one hour and 45 minute episode. Now that’s what we’re talking about! Can you even imagine what kind of action Sutter will pack into the lengthy premiere? We can already picture the blood-soaked fights and witty one-liners now.
In honor of the Sutter’s revealing of the Season 7 premiere date, we’ve decided to give seven reasons why we’re excited for the final season of “SoA”:
1. Sutter promises a “bed-wetter” of a season. During a Twitter chat, a fan asked the creator, “On a scale of 1 to 'Red Wedding,' what are we in for here?” Sutter responded by saying the iconic “Game of Thrones” scene is equivalent to a childhood accident compared to what he has in store for “SoA” fans.
2. Guest roles will be reprised. Fans of the show will be happy to know that a few of your favorite guest stars will be returning to Charming for the final season; like Venus Van Dam. I am very happy to report that in season 7 of SOA, THERE WILL BE SOME MUTHAF---IN’ VENUS,” Kurt Sutter tweeted. Venus’ sassy character is played by the actor Walter Goggins.
3. In addition to seeing old, friendly faces, “SoA” viewers will be welcoming new ones like Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love, both added to the plot of the final season. Are you excited to see the rock stars bring the heat to the FX drama?
4. Viewers were given a teaser of what to expect in the first episode, per FX. Season 7 will take place 10 days after Tara’s brutal murder. Fans will find “Jax in jail on a parole violation, grappling with the loss of the woman he loved. With the club’s full support, he sets in motion the brutal machinations that will lead to complete and merciless retribution.”
5. Another reason we’re excited for Season 7 is because of the show’s newest regulars. During Sutter’s YouTube series, “WTFSutter,” the creator divulged who would be promoted to series regular. “You saw, I think, a release we made DL (David Labrava) and Ratboy (Niko Nicotera), Happy and Rat, are series regulars as well as I think Drea (De Matteo). The opening credits will change a little bit, which is always fun,” he said.
6. Speaking of opening credits, did you happen to catch the first released promo for Season 7 of “SoA”? If that doesn’t get your engine reeving for the final season, we don’t know what will! Check out the trailer below:
7. And last but not least, the final reason we’re excited for Season 7 of “SoA” is because we’re ready for Sutter to show the Emmy’s just what a mistake they made for snubbing this beloved series.
