Finally, the Sony Xperia Arc has hit the Sony store. The company has officially put the unlocked version of the Xperia Arc up for sale on its website.

One of the best Xperia branded devices, the Arch would be available at a cost of $599.99, which doesn't look cheap when compared to other devices for a similar price which also offer dual-core processors and 1GB of RAM.

Sporting 1GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 GPU, the arc that rides on Android 2.3 Gingerbread may not be dual-core, but it does offer some cool stuff to satiate users. Some of its key features include an 8.1MP camera, a 4.2-inch touchscreen, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

Apart from the Sony Xperia Arc, there are some other upcoming Android smartphones that are expected to give tough competition to Apple's new generation of iPhone - iPhone 5.

The top five upcoming smartphones that can be possible threats for Apple iPhone 5 are Samsung Galaxy S II, Google Nexus 4G, Motorola Droid Bionic, Motorola Photon 4G and T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, manufactured by HTC.
