Sony Xperia M5 And Xperia C5 Ultra Officially Announced
Sony officially announced two midrange smartphones, the Xperia C5 Ultra and the Xperia M5. Both the smartphones come with impressive design, good camera performance and longer battery life.
According to the official Sony Mobile blog post, since the company is well-known for building high-end camera sensors, it has packed the two smartphones with amazing cameras along with advanced features.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra that was rumored as Sony Lavender handset before its official announcement comes with a 6-inch borderless full HD IPS display powered with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology.
The handset is powered by Media MT6752 octa-core processor that offers a clocking speed of 1.7 GHz along with 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16GB.
The exact capacity of the battery of C5 Ultra has not been revealed, but Sony said it will be able to deliver two-day battery life. It will be available in black, white and glossy mint.
The Xperia C5 Ultra has 13 megapixel cameras at the front and rear. The front camera features a 22 mm wide-angle sensor coupled with selfie flash. Because of its amazing photo shooting capabilities, Sony describes it as the all new PROselfie smartphone.
The Sony Xperia M5 features a 5-inch full HD screen supported by Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology. It is powered with MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and 3GB of RAM. The 64-bit octa-core processor can produce a clocking speed of 2.0 GHz.
Since it has received IP 65/68 rating, the device is resistant to dust and water contact. The rear camera is 21.5 MP and it is capable of shooting 4,000-pixel resolution videos. The front-facing camera is 13 MP that supports full HD recording. It is powered by a 2,600 mAh capacity battery.
The Xperia C5 Ultra as well as the Xperia M5 comes with support for up to a 200GB uSD card. The M5 and C5 Ultra will be shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard. Also, both the handsets will be available in single and dual-SIM options in select markets, beginning midmonth.
