Sophie, Countess Of Wessex Shared Glimpse Of Royal Children’s Life: We’re Fortunate
Sophie, Countess of Wessex considers her royal children fortunate.
The members of the royal family are likened to celebrities due to the attention they receive from the public. However, they still aim to live a normal life.
According to Sophie, her children with Prince Edward, Lady Louise Windsor, 15, and James, Viscount Severn, 11, spend their weekends with their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Some of those times were spent having tea with the monarch and enjoying the countryside like riding horses.
“We’re a lot more fortunate because we live so much closer to the Queen,” Sophie, Countess of Wessex told Rhiannon Mills for Sky News.
“So, when she spends a lot of time at Windsor at weekends, our children are more fortunate because they can go over and have tea with her on a regular basis,” she continued before adding that the monarch was also “lucky” to see them a lot.
Back in December, Queen Elizabeth II and Sophie were also photographed attending a morning service at St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate. The two royals were joined by the Earl of Wessex and their daughter Lady Louise Windsor.
According to Neil Sean, Sophie is Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite royal. Prince Edward’s wife is the number one person that Her Majesty goes to for a chat.
Sean said that Meghan Markle has “ingratiated herself very cleverly with the Queen.” This is evident on their first joint engagement last year when they visited Chester using the royal train. However, Sophie remains the monarch’s favorite.
Chances are high that Prince Harry and Markle’s baby would enjoy the same privileges as Sophie’s children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now living in Windsor making them close enough to see the Queen on a regular basis.
In addition, Prince Harry and Markle are now based at Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives. The couple used to share Kensington Palace with Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, after they announced their split, they didn’t just leave their cottage in Kensington Palace, they also moved their offices. Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge remain in the palace.
