In its first game of its title defense, Auburn barely beat unranked Utah St.Reuters
According to blogs that leaked a transcript from an un-aired Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel report on HBO, Auburn football players received payments and sexual favors in recruitment.
The report includes testimony from former Auburn players Stanley McClover, Chaz Ramsey, Troy Reddick, and Raven Gray.
But the transcript focuses more on McClover and his statements about receiving bookbags of cash -- being paid in his recruitment and throughout his time at Auburn.
McGlover said he was even paid based on specific performances, saying he received $4,000 for a game against Auburn.
Chaz Ramsey said he was paid $5,000 or more.
Providing benefits to student athletes is an NCAA violation.
