S&P ends up for 6th day as oil gains
The S&P 500 rose for the sixth straight session to end on Monday at its closing high for the year as energy shares rose alongside the price of oil.
Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> rose 20.86 points, or 0.21 percent, to end unofficially at 9,885.80. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 4.70 points, or 0.44 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,076.19. But the Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> dipped just 0.14 of a point, or 0.01 percent, to close unofficially at 2,139.14.
