JJ gets two tickets to the premiere of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in this week’s episode of “Speechless.”

In the trailer for Season 2, episode 9 of the ABC comedy, JJ (Micah Fowler) receives two tickets to the premiere of the latest “Star Wars” movie from his mom Maya (Minnie Driver). Since Ray (Mason Cook) is the biggest “Star Wars” fan in the family, he quickly assumes that he’s the one who’s going with JJ to the premiere. But to give everyone a chance to go to the special event, JJ — with the help of Taylor (Sedona James) — holds a “Star Wars” trivia game for the whole family.

“Dad, this space station blew up at the end of the first movie,” JJ asks in a sneak peek from the episode.

“Death Star,” Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) answers.

“Everyone knows that,” an annoyed Ray comments, before finding out that his girlfriend Taylor has never seen “Star Wars.”

As Ray recovers from Taylor’s shocking revelation, JJ asks Dylan (Kyla Kenedy), “Chewbacca is a blank.”

“Awesome dude,” Dylan replies.

Although JJ says that Dylan’s answer is correct, Ray complains that it isn’t the correct answer. “The correct answer is Wookiee,” he says.

While Wookiee is indeed the right answer, Jimmy says that Dylan’s answer is also acceptable. “You don’t think Chewbacca is an awesome dude and you wanna bring this guy to the premiere?” Jimmy wonders aloud.

Apparently, Maya isn’t a big fan of the epic space opera franchise, as she fails to complete the series’ iconic expression “May the Force be with you.”

The game abruptly ends when an impatient Ray comes forward and tells JJ that everyone knows that he’s the one who’s going with him. “I refuse to let you torture me,” Ray tells his older brother, before saying that he’s not even going to dance for him just to get the other ticket. Funny enough, Ray’s last comment gives JJ an idea. Before agreeing to take Ray to the premiere, JJ makes him do his hilarious dance moves in front of everybody.

The synopsis for the episode, however, suggests that that JJ may have had a change of heart as he’s “pulled to the dark side by a pretty classmate (Kaylee Bryant) who hopes to take Ray’s ticket.”

Elsewhere in the episode, back at home, Maya, Jimmy and Dylan enjoy a rare night at home without the boys. Meanwhile, Kenneth’s secret after-hours hangout at Lafayette is compromised when Dr. Miller (Marin Hinkle) discovers his late-night escapades.

Kevin Smith guest-stars as himself in the episode, which will also feature a special look at the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

“Speechless” Season 2, episode 9, titled “S-T-- STAR W-- WARS W--ARS,” airs on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens in theaters on Dec. 15.
