The sports world was stunned when it was reported that golf legend Tiger Woods was involved in a vehicular accident on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old was reportedly driving in Rancho Palos Verdes just outside of Los Angeles at 7:00 am when his SUV hit a curb before hitting a tree and then landed on its side off the road.
Woods needed to be pried out of the vehicle and suffered a laundry list of injuries. According to sources, he sustained a shattered ankle and two leg fractures.
According to an official statement from Woods' camp, the golf icon is responsive and is recovering in the hospital after undergoing surgery to treat his injuries.

Woods, a 15-time majors champion, is widely considered as one of the best golfers to ever compete in the game.
While his career has been surrounded by controversy, he still remains one of the most respected athletes ever.

As such, the outpouring of support for Woods from the sports world was immense. Athletes from all backgrounds took to social media to extend their prayers and well-wishes to Woods and his family.
