Rumors are swirling that Sprint would launch its new affordable tablet, ZTE Optik, for online buyers Feb 5.
ZTE Optik, priced at $100, is designed to tap the budget-minded tablet lovers.
The rumored specs of the new phone are leaked on the SprintFeed and are going viral on the Internet.
Check Out the Rumored Specs of Sprint Optik:
ZTE Optik is expected to sport a 7-inch 1280x800 pixels touchscreen. It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor with 16 GB internal storage, and 1GB RAM. MicroSD slot will also be provided for external memory.
The new Sprint tab is anticipated to pack a 5 megapixel rear camera with an additional 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
According to rumors, the phone will run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. However, Sprint has not made any announcement about the update of the operating system to Google's latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which has been called Google's most ambitious release to date.
It will also include features like Mobile Hotspot for up to 5 devices (3G), stereo speakers and Bluetooth. The tablet will come with 4000 mAh battery.
Now with the launch of ZTE Optik that comes with good features and an affordable price tag, a fierce battle between the new and the existing tabs - HTC EVO View 4G and RIM BlackBerry PlayBook - is expected in the coming days.
ZTE Optik is slated to hit Sprint stores March 11.
