‘Star’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 3 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Next Of Kin’?
In the last episode of “Star,” the group almost fell apart due to Alexandra’s big secret and Star’s bad habits but in Season 1, episode 3, “Next of Kin,” the two girls will be faced with the reality that they could lose their youngest member.
Now that Star (Jude Demorest) and Alexandra (Ryan Destiny) have been able to get over their fight after the New Yorker hid that she is the daughter of rock star Roland Crane (Lenny Kravitz), the girls have been hit with another obstacle with Simone (Brittany O’Grady) is in the hospital.
“Carlotta’s (Queen Latifah) protective nature is in full force as someone close to her is in jeopardy,” the Fox network synopsis teases. In the previous episode, viewers saw Simone collapse at church after taking pills from Carlotta’s medicine cabinet.
The promo video for “Star” episode 3 shows the young girl in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask being placed on her face. She soon begins to hallucinate that she is seeing her dead mother. Carlotta is later seen talking to Star explaining that she is the closest thing Simon has to a mother and only wants the best for her.
“Trying to raise enough money for a recording session, Jahil (Benjamin Bratt) finds himself in great danger,” the synopsis says. Although Jahil is not present in the latest promo, the audience has seen him do just about anything to get to the top of the music industry, but at what price?
“Meanwhile, Simone’s past continues to haunt her and Star goes to great lengths to make sure her sister is safe,” the synopsis states. In the clip, not only is Simone hallucinating that her dead mother is singing to her, but the video also shows Star performing a solo. The desperate teen also makes a plea with her sister to pull through stating she can’t lose her like she lost their mother.
Will Simone survive or will this girl group trio turn into a duo? “Star” Season 1, episode 3, “Next of Kin,” airs on Fox Wednesday at 9:01 p.m. EST.
