‘Star’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 1 Synopsis, Promo Video And Photos Released

After a shocking finale, “Star” Season 2 is set to premiere on Wednesday with even more drama. and hopefully, answers to several questions. When the series returns to Fox, Star, Alexandra and Simone will be forced to face several challenges while attempting to maintain their music career.

“Star (Jude Demorest) goes to great lengths to assure that the group gets a release date for their album while still dealing with the repercussions of Hunter’s (Chad James Buchanan) death,” the synopsis for episode 1, “The Winner Take All” teases.

Star has never been afraid to do whatever needs to be done to secure her spot at the top, and it seems like the recent murder will not stop her from achieving her dreams.

In the Season 1 finale, Star finally stood up to Hunter, who hit her several times throughout the course of their relationship, by breaking his throwing arm and seemingly ruining his football career. Hunter ran to see Jahil (Benjamin Bratt), but Eva (Sharlene Taulé) was the only one home.

The two ended up getting intimate, and while they were in bed, they were murdered in a massive shooting that was meant to kill Jahil.

In the “Star” Season 2, episode 1 promo, Star can be seen sitting in what looks to be a police interrogation room. Could she be a suspect in Hunter’s murder?

She can later be heard telling someone that the group has one shot to achieve their dreams and that she will be the one to make it happen.

“A frustrated Simone (Brittany O’Grady) struggles with bullying and Alexandra (Ryan Destiny) moves in with Derek (Quincy Brown) despite the hardships they’ve experienced,” the synopsis for “The Winner Take All” says. In the promo, Alexandra can be heard saying that she has lost everything.

Last season, she and Derek got into a car accident. While she walked away with merely a scratch, doctors told Derek that there was a good chance he would never walk again.

During her examination following the car accident, Alex also learned that she was pregnant. Seeing as she said she has lost everything, will Alex lose her baby this season?

From the looks of the new photos, she will stay by Derek’s side following the car accident, but will the stress of caring for him prove to be too much to handle?

Speaking about the difficulty of adapting to a new situation, it looks like Simone will be the victim of bullying. Although it is unclear why she will become the target of harsh behavior, she does have a past.

Due to her time in the foster care system, which was riddled with sexual abuse, Simone developed a drinking and drug problem. Could her past be coming back to haunt her once again”

“Meanwhile, Carlotta (Queen Latifah) faces difficult decisions when it comes to managing the group and seeks advice from Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett)” the synopsis states. The “Star” Season 2 premiere episode will continue Fox’s crossover episode event with “Empire.”

Seeing as the girls won a record deal in the Season 1 finale, it’s likely that Jamal will offer the up-and -coming artists some advice on how to navigate the music industry.

In the crossover promo, Star, Alexandra and Simone are seen performing with Jamal, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) and Tiana (Serayah Mcneill). Could the ladies be working on securing a deal with Empire?
