“Star Wars: Episode 9” reshoots continue in California. According to a new report, cast members Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are part of the shooting. The two actors are reprising their respective roles of Rey and Finn in the upcoming movie.

Reshoots have been ongoing for a while now. According to Bespin Bulletin, the cast and crew are currently in Santa Monica, California. Cinematographer Dan Mindel confirmed the shoot with a behind-the-scenes picture from the production set.

The two main cast members who are filming at the moment are Ridley and Boyega. Ridley’s makeup artist has been there in California for the past few days and Boyega too teased on Instagram that he was “getting ready” for something a few days ago.

Since Both Boyega and Ridley are filming together in California, it is being suggested that the two of them will share the screen in what is being filmed. The trailers of the film have also confirmed that the two characters will be spending a lot of time together as they embark on a new journey.

Meanwhile, Lucasfilm has released details about new alien creature from “Star Wars: Episode 9.” A picture of the alien Babu Frik has been shared on the official Twitter page of the franchise. According to the official description, the new character works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi.

Babu Frik is a programming specialist. His expertise is in reprogramming any droid, no matter how good the security system is that protects the droid’s system. Will the character be involved in reprogramming a popular droid in the upcoming film?

There are less than three months left for “Star Wars: Episode 9” to hit the theaters across the globe, but is not clear how long the reshoots will go on. The film has been directed by JJ Abrams, and it will be released on Dec. 20.
