“Star Wars: Episode 9” filming is currently ongoing at Black Park. The cast and crew are reportedly filming an action sequence there that involves the first female Stormtrooper, played by Samantha Alleyne. A leaked picture from the set and a few details about what is being filmed have surfaced online.

A leaked picture from the production set of “Star Wars: Episode 9” posted on Making Star Wars shows how Black Park has been transformed into a swamp location, which is one of the three unique locations that will be featured in the film. Smoke or fog machines have been used to create this environment, and a few crew members were also spotted filming in the lake.

While details about what was filmed in the water aren’t available, it is clear that the major part of the filming took place on land. They were reportedly filming an action sequence that involved a fight between the First Order and the Resistance.

After the end of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), fans will get another female baddie in “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The female Stormtrooper played by Alleyne was reportedly involved in the swamp action sequence, according to sources familiar with the development of the film.

The female Stormtrooper was fighting Resistance soldiers who were all dressed in green army fatigues. The uniform is similar to the ones worn by the Rebels at Endor in the original trilogy, according to one source. The only major difference is the helmet, which apparently looks a lot like the one worn by Constable Zuvios, but with camouflage.

None of the main characters of the film, like Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), were reportedly involved in this shoot. It remains to be seen if anyone else will join the filming in the coming days.

According to a report by Game Spot, one new character the fans will get to see in the upcoming film may be Lando’s (Billy Dee Williams) daughter. Naomi Ackie will be playing the role of Veranada Calrissian, according to one leaked report.

There have been no official details about the film released so far. The first thing the fans can expect is a title reveal. According to Screen Rant, the two popular titles for the film are “Spark of Hope” and “The Last Hope.”

“Star Wars: Episode 9” will be released on Dec. 20, 2019. The film is being directed by JJ Abrams.
