'Star Wars: Episode 9': Leaked Details About New Villain And Familiar Planet
Leaked pictures and description of gifts given to “Star Wars: Episode 9” crew members reveal some major details about the secretive film. Apart from the return of a “familiar” planet, there appears to be a new villain as well.
The following article contains spoilers from “Star Wars: Episode 9.”
A picture posted on Reddit showed the Christmas gifts that were given to the crew members of the first unit of “Star Wars: Episode 9.” Along with a jacket and a hand written note by Director JJ Abrams himself, the crew members also got two jars as souvenirs. The note doesn’t reveal much because it just shows gratitude for the work the crew members have been doing, but the jars tease some interesting details.
The first jar is filled with some light colored sand, and the second jar is filled with some black beans. What do these jars represent? According to the person who posted the pictures on Reddit, the first jar is from a sacred place on a familiar planet. The beans on the other hand have something to do with “A Jedi Eater.” The crew members don’t know anything about the plot yet, but the significance of these gifts is expected to become evident when the film is released.
The details that these gifts reveal should be enough for ardent fans to guess what to expect in “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The “familiar” planet that the post talks about may be Jeddah, which is a sandy moon that orbits the planet NaJedha. The moon is a spiritual place for the Force that has pilgrims visiting to worship. The location first appeared in the spin-off movie “Rogue One.”
There have been many reports and leaked pictures from the production sets of “Star Wars: Episode 9” that confirm that a desert planet will be featured in the movie. A previous report by Making Star Wars, suggested that this planet may actually be Jedha.
The “Jedi Eater,” however, is a little more intriguing. While the light and dark colored jars appears to signify the balance in the Force, which has been the main theme of the new trilogy, this term that has been used to describe the beans appears to hint at a new villain.
Will there be a more powerful villain who will take Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) place in the future? “Star Wars: Episode 9” is the last movie in the new trilogy. With the story of the current characters coming to an end, the film may also setup the future movies from the franchise; and the best way to do that will be to introduce the next big villain.
