'Star Wars: Episode 9': Resistance's New Recruit Jannah Fights With Bows, Arrows

The cast members of “Star Wars: Episode 9” have been teasing new details since the D23 event. In a recent interview, Naomi Ackie talked about her character Jannah, who is a new recruit of the Resistance against the First Order.

In what may be a parallel to the Battle of Endor, the upcoming film will have the heroes fighting the First Order with simple weapons like bows and arrows. In an interview with “Good Morning America,” Ackie teased that her character is a “fierce warrior” who can ride an alien horse-like creature known as an Orbak.

Jannah will be using a bow and arrows in the fight against the First Order, and Ackie teased that her character’s skills will come in handy for the rest of the Resistance fighters. Oscar Isaac, who will be reprising his role as Poe Dameron, joked about Jannah using her bow and arrow to take down star ships.

The promo pictures of “Star Wars: Episode 9” have teased Jannah riding an Orbak alongside Finn (John Boyega). Ackie said that her character will be meeting a lot of people in the film.

While new friendships and relationships will be formed in the upcoming movie, the one relationship that the fans will watching keenly is the one between Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Ridley described the relationship between her character and the Supreme Leader of the First Order as “connected” in an interview with “Good Morning America.”Director JJ Abrams teased that the two characters are “desperate,” while producer Kathleen Kennedy said that the relationship is “very, very complicated.”

A video of “Star Wars: Episode 9” was released at the D23 event, and it has now been posted on YouTube. The video confirms the upcoming movie will mark the end of the saga with a connection to all the previous movies.
