New rumors about “Star Wars: Episode 9” suggest that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will switch sides and join the good guys in the fight against a common enemy. The common enemy is expected to be the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid), and now details about how the characters return will force changes in the galaxy have been revealed.

According to a Making Star Wars podcast, a scene enacted at the Star Wars Galaxy theme park has a connection to the upcoming film. The scene involves Rey (Daisy Ridley) being arrested by some Stormtroopers, but an officer orders her release later. She is reportedly set free on Kylo Ren’s orders, and the head of the First Order will join the good guys.

What will make Kylo Ren switch sides? According to the report, it may have something to do with the Knights of Ren and the Sith Troopers fleet. The new Supreme Leader of the First Order believes that his troops are loyal to him, but that perception will change when the Sith Trooper fleet goes in search of the Emperor. This will make Driver’s character join hands with Rey.

The red Stormtroopers of “Star Wars: Episode 9” are supposedly from the Sith fleet. The official Twitter page of the franchise has already confirmed the new unit of soldiers, but details about who they answer to may only be revealed in the film.

Many new products and merchandise have been planned around the Sith Troopers. Despite the importance of the new unit, the filmmakers are keeping details about them a mystery. The “Star Wars Show” joked about how the only thing that the fans know about the new soldiers is that they have red armor.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” is the last movie in the sequel trilogy. The film has been directed by JJ Abrams and it will be released on Dec. 20.
