'Star Wars: Episode 9' Rumors: Name Of New Planet And Flashback Scene
New details about “Star Wars: Episode 9” have surfaced online. Along with the name of a new planet, the new details also reveal a major flashback scene of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher).
The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: Episode 9.”
New planets will be introduced in the upcoming JJ Abrams film. One of these planets is going to be called Exogol, according to details that have surfaced on the Instagram page of Bespin Bulletin. While sources close to the production have confirmed the name, the spelling may be different.
Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will be seen on this new planet, which is described as being similar to the one seen in the trailer where the Supreme Leader was involved in an action sequence. Driver’s character will be seen killing people on Exogol to find a wayfinder device.
The wayfinder device was once owned by Darth Vader, and it reveals a location in the Unknown Regions. This may be where the Sith Fleet is waiting in “Star Wars: Episode 9,” or it could also be the location of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).
A behind-the-scenes coverage of the film by Vanity Fair previously revealed the name of the other big planet in the film as Kijimi. This is where the fans will find Keri Russell’s character Zorri Bliss.
The other big rumor is a scene description of a flashback sequence of Luke Skywalker and Leia training with lighsabers. The General of the Resistance forces reportedly stopped her Jedi training back then because she was pregnant. In the flash forward, she will train Rey (Daisy Ridley).
Abrams is using archive footage of Fisher to bring her character back in “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The director previously told Variety that the late actress is “the heart” of the movie.
