In an effort to connect all the nine films of the Skywalker saga, “Star Wars: Episode 9” will be taking the fans back to a familiar planet that was featured in the Original Trilogy. The following article contains “Star Wars: Episode 9” spoilers.
New details about the upcoming film have been posted by Bespinbulletin, which has gotten some of the spoilers right so far, suggest that the heroes will travel to Endor, the forested moon that was the battleground in “Return of the Jedi.” The Ewoks will also be back, but they will not play a significant role and will be there for nostalgia.
The Emperor (Ian McDiarmid), who was supposedly killed in the second Death Star, will be back. The character may be seen on Endor. According to the spoilers, the Sith Lord will have a mechanical arm, and he will be attached to machines that have been keeping him alive all these years.
The final battle in “Star Wars: Episode 9” will be against the former Emperor. Rey (Daisy Ridley) will be joining forces with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in order to defeat the Sith Lord.
It is not clear if McDiarmid will be reprising his role as Palpatine. The actor was reportedly spotted on the set when scenes related to the Emperor were filmed.
The return to Endor and the presence of Ewoks in the upcoming film has also been confirmed by Making Star Wars, a reliable website when it comes to “Star Wars” spoilers. It is still not clear how Matt Smith will be connected to the Emperor, with some reports suggesting that the actor may be playing a younger version of Palpatine.
“Star Wars: Episode 9” will also mark the return of some fancy weapons. According to Screen Rant there is enough evidence now to suggest that the Star Destroyers in the film will have Death Star technology, and they will be capable of destroying planets.
