The two main female characters in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” played by Daisy Ridley and Gwendoline Christie, appear at the center of a promo poster for the movie. More details about the movie and the next trailer are expected to be released at the San Diego Comic-Con and Disney’s D23 event.

The poster from Russia posted on StarWars7News shows Ridley’s character, Rey, and Christie’s character, Captain Phasma, at the centre with the heroes Finn [John Boyega] and Chewbacca [Peter Mayhew] on one side and the Stormtroopers on the other side. The villain Kylo Ren [Adam Driver] can be seen in the background.

The report notes Finn is carrying a “fancy gun” in the poster, and Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford is missing. Two other major characters in the movie still seen in any of the official posters or in the two trailers that have been released are Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, and Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher.

More details about some of the characters will be revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con event, in which the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” team will be taking part in a panel discussion. A report on the official website says the team will also showcase some of the franchise's novels and Hasbro toys.

MakingStarWars reported a full-size Millennium Falcon that fans may get to walk through will be on hand. Director J.J. Abrams and his team will be at Room 7 AB July 10.

More “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” details are expected to be shared at Disney’s D23 Expo 2015, Aug. 14-16. Fans will get a sneak peek at some of the movies being developed by companies owned by Disney, such as Lucasfilm, Pixar and Marvel.

The J.J. Abrams movie is slated to be released on Dec. 18 in the U.S.
