'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Premiere Photos: First Reactions From Celebs, Fans Without Spoilers
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” made its world premiere Monday night in Hollywood, California, with the stars of the film including Lupita Nyong’o, Billie Lourd, Harrison Ford and newcomer Daisy Ridley walking the red carpet. The much-awaited J.J. Abrams movie has theaters squeezing in additional showtimes, many in the middle of the night and early morning.
The seventh installment in the film franchise, which set about 30 years after events in Return of the Jedi, brought in positive reactions from fans. Several celebrities and social media users took to Twitter to share their first reactions of the movie, staying clear of not revealing any spoilers as reviews are embargoed until Dec. 16.
Documentary director Brett Morgen, best known for Montage of Heck, which is based on Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, wrote on Twitter: "Force Awakens might be the best blockbuster since the original."
Actor-director Zach Braff told the Associated Press that he "loved" the movie. "I thought J.J. did an amazing job. My favorite part was just seeing the camaraderie between the veteran and the new cast members."

"It's very surreal. I've never seen this kind of thing," director Abrams told Starwars.com as he was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the premiere. "It's insane. I feel enormously guilty for this community, this neighborhood."
